Recently Realtor.com released a new ranking technique that uses activity data to create a sort of agent ranking and has been creating quite a stir. I am not completely sold on the technology yet but We in the midwest are unable to utilize it at this time. Many opponents don’t like the fact that “busier” agents will receive an automatic higher rating than say a new or low volume agent. My question is how long can a competitive market whine and cry about evening the playing field. Do we all not want to have the highest ranking but because of our merits? I don’t think I would oppose this product on a national level but with all online data it must be communicated with an asterisks and explanation. Enjoy the Keller Williams complaint article below.
